Communication Modes

What is the communication mode for each one of the cases below and why? and support you answer with an example?

1- Chatting
chatting process uses a Half-Duplex communication mode, because in this case two-way communication is possible but one at a time, if there is a location A and B, so we can send data from A to B or from B to A but one at a time.

Example
You are staying at home, little while after you got a message from you friend, he is asking you to be online at that moment, message process uses a half-duplex communication mode as well, then you proceed to you computer in order to chat with your friend, you logged in your yahoo email, then you and him started chatting each other, in this case you are chatting with him, once he ends sending the message that he sent, you can then reply him after he ends and the vice versa.

2- Surfing Internet
Surfing internet process uses a half-duplex communication mode, because the user issues a request for a web page. The web page is downloaded and displayed before user issues other request, which means data can flow in both directions but not at the same time. It is transmitted one-way at one time. A device with half-duplex mode can send or receive data but not at the same time as it mentioned.

Example
You work in a company, while you were sitting in your office and having your coffee, the newspaper distributor passed over you and handed you a newspaper, then while you were browsing the newspaper, you found a good vacancy in other company, and it was written on the advertisement for further information please check this website, so you opened the website to know more about the requirements and other details, so in this moment you are issuing a request for the company's webpage, and then the webpage is downloaded and displayed rapidly before you shift to other request.

3- Video conferencing
Video conferencing uses a Full-Duplex communication mode, because the data can travel in both directions simultaneously, it means data can be send from A to B and from B to A at same time. Full-Duplex mode is a faster way of data transmission as compared to half-duplex.

Example
You are a manager of companies' group in the world; the administration suggested some plans to do some enhancements in the company's products, you are as manager should inform the rest of the branches' managers about the new plans, therefore if the managers will travel to the main branch to attend the conference, this will take much time and effort and cost, so the alternative solution will be making the conference through internet, this conference can be made with yahoo messenger or any other program. Therefore you are as manager should schedule an appointment for the conference’s time, when the conference time comes, the meeting will be making as video conferencing, and each one can see, talk and listen to the other. Therefore the video conferencing uses a full-duplex communication mode because it allowed two-way communication work at the same time.

4- Email
Email process uses a Half-Duplex communication mode, because data can be sent in both directions but not at the same time. It is transmitted one-way at one time, if there is a location A and B, so we can send data from A to B or from B to A but one at a time as it mentioned in the chatting and surfing internet conditions.

Example
You are already finished your high school with an excellent assessment, and now you need to submit your documents to some universities in order to get an over latter to be able to continue your study, therefore you started sending some emails to some universities, after that some universities replied that your request is acceptable initially and asked you to send them your documents and some other requirements. This corresponding series has used a half-duplex communication mode because you were sending or receiving emails but each one in a time, it has been transmitted one-way at one time.
